Coordinated by IRIS (Spain), PRESERVE develops innovative solutions to promote sustainability, conserve natural resources and preserve the environment. By promoting the circular use of biobased packaging, PRESERVE and its partners are helping to boost European competitiveness in this sector.

Carbiolice is taking part in the EU funded Horizon 2020 project SISTERS. SISTERS aims to reduce food loss and food waste in the main different stages of the Food Value Chain in Europe through innovations targeted to each link of the value chain: new tools to primary producers for promoting direct and Short Chain sales (farmers); new technological innovations in packaging for processors and retailers; and awareness campaigns for retailers and consumers on food loss and food waste.

With the support of the European Commission, SISTERS will be a key EU project addressing the problem in a holistic way, reducing FLW by 27.4% and CO2 emissions by around 20% in the case studies.

The project started on November 2021, it will last 4 years and gathers 18 partners from 8 different European countries.

The Sustainable Packaging Coalition is a collaborative organization that believes in the power of industry to make packaging more sustainable. By integrating the European network of experts and committed partners of the European Bioplastics association, Carbiolice is helping to improve the circular economy of bioplastics.

The French Association for Biosourced Compostables, created in 2006, represents all the players in the French bioplastic industry: biosourced and biodegradable resins. Its mission is to promote and develop bioplastic in France and Europe.

As an example of the circular bioeconomy, AFCB’s mission is to raise awareness of the specific features and benefits of these new materials with plastic properties, while supporting their development in France and Europe.

The mission of the Chimie Du Végétal association is to support and accelerate the development of biosourced chemistry, chemistry based on the use of plant raw materials. The ACDV defends and promotes the economic, societal and environmental values of this sector of new materials.

Carbiolice is labelled GreenTech Innovation by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.

A recognition attesting that the solution designed by Carbiolice is both innovative and has strong growth potential, and contributes to the acceleration of the ecological transition.
